The question again - Was your life and your eternity predestined before you were ever born into this life?

According to scripture the answer to that age-old question is: YES! It is well documented in the bible that the names were written in the Lamb's Book of Life ... those who are of Christ and will enter the Kingdom. Below I have listed but a few of many scriptures that refer to this...

Rev 13. 8 And all the people who belong to this world worshiped the beast. They are the ones whose names were not written in the Book of Life, which belongs to the Lamb who was killed before the world was made.

Rev 17.8 The beast you saw was alive but isn't now. And yet he will soon come up out of the bottomless pit and go to eternal destruction. And the people who belong to this world, whose names were not written in the Book of Life from before the world began, will be amazed at the reappearance of this beast who had died.

You may say, "That's not fair" - - Nor was it "fair" that the Son of God was murdered in the most hideous way known to man in those days. It is not "fair" that all but one (John) of His disciples died horrible deaths! Don't allow the word "fair" to hinder your understanding! Those of you who know the bible will remember that Jacob and Esau were twin brothers, yet while still in the womb God hated Esau and loved Jacob! Go back to the first born children of Adam and Eve, Cain and Able - Able was favored by God and Cain was despised. Get my point? Read the book of Job, the most "unfair" treatment ever recorded... Yet, it all worked for good as Elihu told Job in Chapter 36 verse 21 - "Be on guard! Turn back from evil, for it was to prevent you from getting into a life of evil that God sent this suffering." In other words Job would have gone astray if G-d had not allowed Satan to bring these trials to Job. If we need to learn and understand any one thing from the bible it is this: Trust G-d in all situations and quit deciding whether or not G-d is "fair." That is the reasoning of a spoiled, new-age baby Christian - That's an oxymoron! "New-Age" and "Christian" in the same sentence?

To encourage understanding try to follow this thought: The main reason we do not understand predestination is that we do not understand "TIME." That says a lot - more than I even understand but G-d showed me that. Man-made doctrine which is limited to human understanding and Satan's influence is the main reason for the misunderstanding. The new age doctrine - which is in most all churches - teaches us to compare G-d with our earthly fathers. They teach us to compare G-d's plan and methods with those of man... Now that's a "Crock of Bull!" I run into it everyday! Don't fall for it! Keep your eyes on G-d and allow Him, through the Holy Spirit to teach you through your heart. You may not understand it with your brain but you will know it in the heart!

This is a dangerous topic because some will say, "What the heck, if I don't have any control, what's the use in trying?" Let me be very basic; that attitude is the predestined attitude of a hell-bound person - unworthy to enter the kingdom. Jesus instructs us to "Work hard to find the narrow path that leads us to the Kingdom, which few will ever find." (Paraphrased as usual) That should mean something to us!

Summary - keep your eyes on G-d, His Son Jesus and The Holy Spirit. Trust G-d and work hard to find the narrow path through prayer, study and overcoming temptation... You will find in the end that your name was written in The Lamb's Book Of Life and you were predestined to spend eternity with Christ!
